Booking Conditions
Christine and Jack are the owners of villas "Christina" and "Saffia" within the small private Grapevines site in Makrigialos. These are private holiday homes and we request that holidaymakers treat the properties with respect, leaving the villa as you find it.
The following booking conditions apply.
Contract, reservation and payment
If the holiday rental is for either of our two villas or both, the booking is between you the holidaymaker and ourselves as owners. Reservations made are subject to a confirmation email from us that the reservation is accepted. Where the holiday rental is for another villa on the Grapevines site, we act as booking agents and the contract, once formed, will be between you as holidaymaker and the owner(s) of the other villa(s), in which case we shall act solely in the capacity of booking agent and are not a party to the contract.
To complete the booking we require a deposit of 30% of the total holiday rental price, unless the booking start date is within 8 weeks of the date of the holiday start date in which case the full amount is payable upon booking. Where a deposit is paid the holidaymaker becomes liable for the balance of the rental price and this must be paid no later than 2 full calendar month’s before the start of the holiday.
The booking once made is for the purpose of the person or persons whose names appear on the booking confirmation form. As our properties are private holiday homes, bookings will only be accepted from adults and we reserve the right to refuse or revoke any bookings from parties which may in our opinion be unsuitable for our villas.
Changes and cancellations
If there is any reason it proves necessary for us to make a change in your holiday booking for unexpected reasons, we will endeavour to re-locate you to one of our other villas or if this is not possible to re-locate you to another villa on the Grapevines complex. Failing this we will refund all monies paid by you. We shall be under no further obligation or liability in this respect.
If you need to cancel your holiday we guarantee to return to you all monies paid to us. The 30% reservation fee is not refundable if the holiday is cancelled within 8 weeks of the holiday start date. You are strongly advised to take out holiday insurance.
Keys and occupancy
Keys will be available to you upon arrival and must be returned to the Site Manager at the end of your holiday.
Your villa will normally be available for occupation from 14:00 p.m. on the day of your arrival.
You are requested to vacate the villa by 10:00 a.m. on the day of your departure, however special arrangements may be made with us if you have inconvenient flight times; where practicable we will try to help with late departures so that you make the most of your holiday.
Care of the villa
You agree that you shall take all reasonable and proper care of the villa, shall leave all furnishings fixtures and fittings in the same state of repair and condition as they were at the start of the holiday and ensure that the villa is left clean and tidy. A 75 Euro security deposit should be given to the Site Manager at the start of the holiday and this will be returned on departure if no breakage or damage has occurred. We undertsand that accidents do happen and we ask you to report immediately any breakages or damage to the Site Manager, who if appropriate will endeavour to institute repairs or obtain replacement goods, furniture etc., so that future guests will have the normal facilities avialble to them. Where the cost of replacement goods or furniture exceeds the 75 Euro deposit, the excess must be paid before departure.
For the convenience of other guests pets are not permitted in our villas and w
e operate a ‘No Smoking’ policy in both our villas (internal rooms only).
You will permit the Site Manager at reasonable times and on reasonable notice to enter and inspect and if necessary to repair the villa or to enter the villa without notice in an emergency to repair the villa or adjacent property.
Noise, nuisance and safety
You must ensure that nothing happens which may be a nuisance or inconvenience to occupiers of neighbouring or adjoining property or adversely affect any insurance of the villa.
Guests must accept responsibility for their own and their children's safety within the villa and particularly in and around the swimming pool. Child safety gates are provided on the spiral staircase, but they are not child-proof if mis-used or played upon.
Warranty
We take every care to ensure the accuracy , both written and verbal, of the details of our villas. All the information on our website or provided to you by email or brochure is given in good faith and is believed to be correct at the time of writing or going to press. Our website is regularly maintained and updated prior to each holiday season however we cannot be held responsible for changes beyond our control or which may become known after writing or going to press. Our description of our villas indicates what is in each villa but generally does not state what is not in each villa. Furthermore, we cannot be held liable for happenings outside of our control such as breakdown of domestic appliances, plumbing or wiring.
Complaints
If you feel that you have a genuine complaint in respect of our villa then please contact us immediately.
These booking conditions shall be deemed to have been accepted by you at the time when you complete and return the booking form or when the balance of the holiday rental price is paid.
Data protection
All personal information supplied by you to us is held in an encrypted form, will be treated in confidence and will not be disclosed to third parties. Your contact details will be held by us so that we can inform you of services and special offers. If you would prefer not to receive information from us, please let us know
